When Is the Best Time to Get Pregnant?

banner2_rw1Most women have all around a 28 day menstrual cycle. Ten to fourteen days after the 1st day of their last period is the most likely time for ovulation (when an egg is introduced from the ovaries) and is the most effective time to try to get pregnant. For example, if you had your period on January 1, you would most likely ovulate any where from January 10-14.
To better your possibilities of becoming pregnant, it is suggested that you have sexual intercourse every other day all over the time of ovulation. That means before day 10 of your cycle you should have sex every other day, up until the 14th day. Some even suggest having intercourse every other day after the last day of your period till your next period.
Why every other day? Why not every day for everyone? Once a man releases his sperm during sexual activity, it takes almost a full day for his supply to be back where it was. If you have intercourse each and every day, it decreases the possibilities that there will be enough quality sperm that will be strong enough to achieve your egg. This is not true for all, of course, but it is a clear chance.
