I love going from season to season because it is a perfect reason to update your current closet. Living in a state with VERY dramatic climate changes, you usually end up putting away your skirts and shorts as soon as fall and winter roll around- and then going out and buying whole new clothing for the future season. With that in mind, here are some genuine but still awfully cute looks for us teenage girls in the winter.

Cardigans are the perfect little completing touches to wear with just about any outfit when it gets colder. They’re not a certain favorite of mine because you have that extra protection with the long sleeve, but it isn’t tacky, nor is it frustrating with what you’re wearing. An individual favorite of mine is Hollister’s Jack Creek- or pretty much any Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch cardigan. I don’t know what I would do without my extensive scarf collection. I love to pair any of my favorite tops with a feminine scarf and nothing more- and you wouldn’t believe the amount of enhances I get as opposed to without it. Since scarfs are really in style right now, you can find cute ones just about anywhere, but I usually get my favorite ones from item places like “Charming Charlie” (Charmingcharlie.com). Fashion scarf’s can start around $10- it just depends on what you’re looking for. It’s such an easy, practical way to add a little more too any old outfit. I have no idea what I would do without my boots. Every year I have to splurge on a cute new pair to replace the previous seasons flip flops, since they simply work with every outfit, and they keep your toes cozy in the snowy weather! Stores like Kohl’s and Target sell cute boots much cheaper than if you were to buy from department stores- I’ve fallen in love with “Candia’s Tall Boots” (found at Kohl’s) because they’re classy, but chic at the same time. You can pair these boots with just about anything, whether it’s for a girl’s night out, or just to wear when going to school or work. Then, for the more casual occasions- like heading to the gym or going to the grocery store, I ADORE these super cute boots from Target called the Cantina Slipper Bootie. I have them in red and wear them on a regular basis- and the compliments keep flowing in. I have no idea how I would live without these adorable (and seriously cheap) boots!!

Finally, a great winter wear is the blazer. This simple jacket can put together almost any outfit, and it’s a very professional piece- almost anyone can work one. Just a simple grey or navy blazer is a super popular look this season, and I don’t see how you could go wrong when buying one. Pair this with even a white tee and blue jeans, and you are fantastic, baby. (I suggest anything like Forever 21′s Hurried 3/4 Slav Linen Blazer- $27.80 at Forever21.com. It’s truly hard to go wrong with this look though, so I would look around and decide what you’re looking for.)

This is just a starter list of cute winter ideas- get out there and try new things this winter! Decorate for warmth, and don’t be afraid to embellish your outfits with cute periodic components like gloves, scarves, hats, and act.
