We all have seen them, the happy-go-lucky kind of people. They are always cheerful, serene, and hardly get upset, whatever happens.
How do they do it? What are the functions that determine if someone will cruise through life happily and merrily or holding a grudge due to continue downfalls and misfortunes?
Finding Your Inner Source of Happiness
The main difference happy people have compared to others is their mindset. It does not matter what you own, what job you do, or how popular you are.
The truth is that anyone has the possible to be happy, no matter the conditions. In fact happiness is not about what happens in our lives, but how we choose respond to what happens.
The only place we can find pleasure is inside us. Nothing and nobody else can provide pleasure to you.
You’ll have to reach some kind of personal stability and self-love to start knowing what happiness is.
Let Go of Negative Thoughts
A lifetime of misfortune, or the belief of loss, triggers negative thoughts. Negative thoughts do no good to our happiness and serenity.
It is important for your own well-being to focus on the positive, be happy, no matter what or who is interfering with your life at the time. Learn to know and control your ideas, keep them positive.
Considering positive in response to a bad event is hard. It requires a revolution of your instinctual mindset. We are creature of habit, it takes courage to embrace change, but it is worth to try, the rewards are wonderful.
Change gear and force yourself to think beneficial thoughts even if things are not so good.
What to Do To Be Happy
• Have free affections and wide interests. – A person that cultivates his or her genuine interests, and gives affections to others, is most likely the object of interest and passion of others.
We should desire the pleasure of those we love, but this does not mean that we should sacrifice our own happiness for them. Self-abnegation does not bring to happiness. Only doing what truly interests you and benefits you, you can find a balance and increase your self-worth.
• Surround yourself with happy friends that have a good outlook on life, avoid negative people and those that are always irritated and complaining.
• Live according to your own values, with reliability and honesty.
• Appreciate what you have and recognize the blessing received. Be thankful, look at you family, friends, health, and feel gratification.
• Means sana in corpore sano. Take care of your body: eat healthy, exercise often, get regular examinations.
