The first factor you should do is talk about what happened, to your closest friend or family member. Just let it all out. The more you talk about what occurred, the better you’ll feel about it later on. You still have someone that loves you, your friend or family member. The next thing to do is to focus on other factors of life. If you’re in school, focus hard on your studies, and difficult task yourself to the limit. Have a job’ Try really hard at your job, put in the overtime. The key thing to do is to achieve anything to be proud of. Once you’ve done this, you will end up feeling much better about yourself. Maybe you’ve even forgot about the breakup, or the memory is just a very vivid one. And if you’re still feeling like junk, you might want to try something different.
There comes a time when life goes on. Perhaps you’re ready to step outside of your safety shell of your previous relationship. Your heart is still broken yes, but it’s slowly healing itself. Ask a couple of friends to go to a movie with you, hang around the mall, and other helpful events such as those. And if you’re ready, you can start to look for other relationships. Mind me, if you’re not ready, then by all means, proceed with working hard at school or work, and going to friendly events. But if you are, and you’ll know when you are, try to go to clubs, events, and meet other girls or guys. Ask all over, have fun, and maybe you’ll catch yourself a date.
Things can get pretty rough in relationships, and sometimes the healing process takes even years. The time is different for everyone. Just remember one thing, it happens to us all, we all know how bad it feels to break up with someone. Another thing to keep in mind, is that if your relationship had it’s ups and downs, maybe you were meant to find a person better suited for you.
