How usually we say “Thank you mom”


Mothers play an important role in shaping the lives nit just their children but the entire nation. In a country like India where family values are said to take precedence, it is surprising that mothers are not thanked enough. A survey commissioned by proctor and gamble across 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, P&G thank you mom’ throws light on how mothers are perceived across different nations.

Traditionally, across many cultures in Asia, mothers are considered to be backbone of the family. Mothers have been expected to make numerous sacrifices for her family and children, often putting the needs of family before her own.

As many as 55 per cent of respondents in India have expressed appreciation to their mothers in frequently. In fact , 23 per cent of respondents could not even remember the last time they thanked their mothers. Interestingly, 60 percent of Indians want to be just like their mother while their role as a mother. Nearly 3000 respondents were surveyed across 12 countries : Australia, china, India, Indonesia, japan, malayasia, newzeland, etc. the respondents women in 18-55 years age group, whose moms are still present or living. Information was collected using online and in India through offline channels. A questionnaire was administered through door to door house visits also.
