When I was very little, I generally used to wonder my granny used to consider a warm glass of lemon water every day in the morning. On various events when I was close to her, she would require that I also put myself a glass, and as time went by, and as I increased older, I type of lost desire in the whole lemon and warm water idea and moved on with my life. One great morning as I was going through my old images, I happened to come over one specific photo of me sitting on my grandmother’s lap and that was when it actually hit me; my granny hasn’t older at all, or at least she is aging gracefully compared to most women her age. Immediately memories of her being a normal health nut and all those days of taking warm glasses of lemon and water also came floods back to me. Wrong; what happens is that when you take lemon water each day, particularly in the morning, the body easily metabolizes the poor chemicals in lemon i.e. citric and ascorbic acids, thus allowing the other minerals included in the lemon to be used in alkalizing the blood.
